East Coast Road is a well connected two lane express highway in Tamil Nadu in India, built next to the coast of the Bay of Bengal linking Chennai to Cuddalore via Puduchery. Currently, the East Coast Road has been expanded up to Thoothukudi using Chidambaram, Nagapattinam, Karaikal, Thiruthuraipoondi, Meemisal, Adirampattinam, Thondi, Ramnad. The whole length of the road is 690 km far from Chennai to Thoothukudi, other than on or after now work has approximately completed till Ramnad, residual 200 km work on pending.
